Matilda - Roald Dahl, Quentin Blake I remember reading this many years ago. It's a classic Roald Dahl and, in my opinion, it's one of Dahl's most beloved works.

I've always admired how Dahl can make a story funny, witty and most enjoyable to any age by the way in which he wrote. His characters are vibrant, and even his minor characters jump off the page in the (usually) short time they are given page-time.
