With only their training and a few clues to guide them, the girls go in search of answers on the other side of the world. But the Circle is hot on their trail and will stop at nothing to prevent Cammie from remembering what she did last summer. The Gallagher Girls series is a series packed with tension, danger, love, cliffhangers and much more.
It is also a series that is full of secrets.
The most recent Gallagher Girls book, Out of Sight, Out of Time has all the features that fans of this series have come to know and love. I am not the most avid GG fan on earth, as I read this series mostly for lighthearted fun and for something in-between other books. However, saying this doesn’t mean that I did not like Out of Sight, Out of Time.
The fifth instalment of this series has so much going on. The plotline was set on a very fast pace, which had me reading late into the night, and I was desperate to finish and find out what may happen next. The pacing also helped with the many twists and turns Carter likes to incorporate in her storylines.
The storyline of this book had a negative effect on the character evolvement, I am sad to say though. There was very little of Cammie’s best friends Bex, Liz and Macey, as they spent most of the story in the background and once Cammie returned, being annoyingly hostile. Zach, on the other hand, was around much more in the book. I must admit though, that I think I preferred him when he was mysterious and we knew very little about him.
On the whole though the fifth book in the series is pretty good. The series is getting darker as we go along and since the sixth book is the final in the series (apparently), I suppose we get many answers when that instalment hits shelves!
