Mr Darcy's Daughters

Mr Darcy's Daughters - Elizabeth Aston Update (April 9th 2010): Has re-rated the book.

Though I enjoyed this spin-off of Pride and Prejudice, which enters us into the lifes of the daughters of our beloved Elizabeth and Darcy from Pride and Prejudice, a few things do not sit right with me.

1/ In my post Pride and Prejudice fantasies, I never imagined Mr and Mrs Fitzwilliam Darcy having five daughters.

2/ I find the simalarities between the canon P&P characters and the imagined characters a little too similar. I mean, the major hysterics of Letty remind me way too much of Mrs Bennet and the flirtatous acts of Belle and Georgina are too much like Lydia.

However, despite these things, it was an enjoyable and lively book, with many twists and turns of fate and love.
